Texas Flag

I made this wooden flag from wood my dad found on the side of the road. I think it is from a backyard deck someone took down. I'm glad whoever it was pulled each board off one by one. As they say, "One man's trash is another man's treasure." The frame is made from old privacy fence planks.

Emma's Program

This is my daughter's Program. It has nothing to do with woodworking, but.... it is cute.

Living Room End Table

I am finally getting around to making an end table to match the "picture" table from a few months ago. Like the first piece, this one is made of pine 1x4's for the rails, stiles, bottom, top and 1/8 inch plywood for the sides, back and door. The hardest part of making matching furniture is remembering where I bought the hinges and knobs.

Where do you live?

These are address markers I made for my dad and brother from an old privacy fence picket. Just a little paint and some numbers lets everyone know you're a PROUD TEXAN, or even a Saints fan like my neighbor.

E's Shelf

This is E's stuffed animal shelf. After it was finished I wished I would have made it about 12 inches longer...

Desk Topper

Lucy needed some more storage for her crafting supplies. I decided to build a top piece for her desk. We bought her desk off Craig's list this summer, cleaned it up and repainted it. The desk is a 1950's secretaries desk with a shelf that slides out and lifts. I believe it was for a typewriter. It could be used when needed and put away when not.

Trash Can Cabinet

Well it was another one of my wife's ideas. She was tired of looking at the trashcan just sitting in the kitchen. She wanted some way to hide it, yet look nice. I had no plans and took measurements from my trashcan. I wanted it to match the picture table I built earlier. I added a drawer for trash bags on the bottom to keep them close.
